Hidden Treasures
Sometimes we have to get far enough down the road before we can recognize what was there all along.
As I celebrate the 52nd episode of Amazing By Design, I found myself looking back—not only over a year of podcasting, but over a lifetime of experiences, qualities, and gifts that suddenly looked different from where I’m standing today.
What began as a simple anniversary reflection revealed something I hadn’t expected:
Sometimes the very things we’ve questioned about ourselves become treasures when we begin to recognize how God has been using and refining them all along.
And our faithful yeses may reveal even more—about who God created us to be, about the intimacy we develop with Him along the way, and about the work He is doing that we may never be able to see or measure.
Some things, I’ve discovered, may simply remain hidden…
in the depths of God’s ledger.
