More Than a Gathering

I believe there's something in most of us that longs for that kind of genuine connection.
And yet, sometimes the very thing we long for can also be the thing we've learned to keep at a distance.
In this week's conversation, I'm exploring what genuine community can look like when we move beyond simply gathering together and begin participating in one another's lives.
We'll talk about why relationships can sometimes feel complicated, what helps create space for authenticity, and how ordinary acts of love can make the Father's heart tangible in everyday life.
Because community was never designed to establish our worth or become our home.
Home is found in intimacy with the Father.
But from that place, we get to learn together, grow together, and follow Jesus together...and community becomes stronger.

"I Can" Isn't the Whole Picture

In this week's conversation, I’m exploring the difference between being capable of doing something and honestly considering what doing it may require of us.
Together, we'll consider what changes when we give ourselves permission to slow down, look at the whole picture, and invite God into the decision—not as a taskmaster, but as a loving Father.
Because your capability is a gift.
But being capable doesn't require you to leave yourself out of the equation.

Hidden Treasures
Sometimes we have to get far enough down the road before we can recognize what was there all along.
As I celebrate the 52nd episode of Amazing By Design, I found myself looking back—not only over a year of podcasting, but over a lifetime of experiences, qualities, and gifts that suddenly looked different from where I’m standing today.
What began as a simple anniversary reflection revealed something I hadn’t expected:
Sometimes the very things we’ve questioned about ourselves become treasures when we begin to recognize how God has been using and refining them all along.
And our faithful yeses may reveal even more—about who God created us to be, about the intimacy we develop with Him along the way, and about the work He is doing that we may never be able to see or measure.
Some things, I’ve discovered, may simply remain hidden…
in the depths of God’s ledger.

But eventually I realized something that quietly changed my perspective of God in beautiful ways...
A beginning was never meant to become the destination.

The Father's Way.Guidance Over Control
One of the most freeing lessons God has taught me is that relationship and control cannot grow together.
The more I've come to know the Father's heart, the more I've realized He has never tried to change me by controlling me. He has always invited me into relationship, where truth could be heard, lies could be dismantled, and peace could take root.
That realization has quietly transformed the way I relate to the people I love.
In this conversation, I want to invite you to explore the Father's way.
We'll talk about why control is often a learned response, why guidance creates something entirely different, and how our relationship with God slowly becomes the pattern for every other relationship in our lives.
My hope is that you'll leave with a deeper appreciation for the Father's heart...and perhaps discover that His guidance was never meant to control your life.

The Space Between Knowing and Doing
Sometimes the greatest act of wisdom isn't deciding what to do.
It's pausing long enough to invite God into the equation before you do anything at all.
I've learned that simply becoming aware of a problem doesn't automatically make it mine to solve. Yet for many of us, awareness immediately creates a sense of responsibility. We care deeply, so we naturally want to help.
But what if God is inviting us into something deeper?
What if, before taking action, He simply wants us to become aware of what He's doing beneath the surface?
In this episode, we're exploring the difference between reacting out of urgency and responding with discernment. Together we'll discover why the questions, "God, what do You want me to know?" and "What do You want me to do?" can completely change the way we approach the needs and situations we encounter every day.
